Filter Select Settings


Blog Select - Setup

  • Placeholder: (input) The placeholder for the select field
    • Enable: When Define Static Value? is set to false
    • Default: Category
  • All Label: (input) The placeholder for the All option field. This can be used to reset a search filter.
    • Enable: When Define Static Value? is set to false
    • Default: All
  • Data Type: (select) The type of data to list
    • Default: Categories
    • Possible Values:
      • Categories
      • Tags
      • Authors
  • Define Static Value?: (checkbox) Define a static value for the filter form. This will allow you hard code a value so that, for example, the filter will only be based on a defined category.
    • Default: false
  • Value: (input) The value of the static defined value. Make sure that the value is all lowercase
    • Enable: When Define Static Value? is set to true
    • Default: category

Blog Select - Filters

  • Date: (select) Filter posts from the view by date. If you can get away with it, I recommend that you use all posts. Processing Filter lists by date is a bit more intensive.
    • Default: All Posts
    • Possible Values:
      • All Posts
      • Only Future Posts
      • Only Past Posts
  • Featured: (select) Filter by featured attribute
    • Default: Include
    • Possible Values:
      • Include
      • Only Featured
      • Hide Featured
  • Draft: (select) Filter by draft attribute
    • Default: Hide Drafts
    • Possible Values:
      • Include
      • Only Drafts
      • Hide Drafts

Blog Select - Style

  • Word Format: (select) How the characters in the words will be formated
    • Default: Uppercase Words
    • Possible Values:
      • Uppercase Words
      • All Lowercase
      • All Uppercase
  • Detect Acronym: (select) Auto Detect Acronyms of defined length to make them Uppercase
    • Default: None
    • Possible Values:
      • None
      • 2-3 Letter Acronyms
      • 2-4 Letter Acronymns
