Feed Settings


Total Admin - General Setup

  • CMS ID: (input) The file identifier to publish the content to. You will use this same identifier when you want to import content submitted by this form. Total IDs should only contain letters and numbers.
    • Default: totalcms
  • Image: (input) Placeholder text for the featured image
    • Default: Drop your featured image here
  • Text: (input) Placeholder text for the post
    • Default: Type your post here
  • Hide Feed Image?: (checkbox) Hide the feed image so that one does not get uploaded with each post.
    • Default: false
  • Show Save Button?: (checkbox) Show the save button for the form. You will want to setup a central save button on the page is disabled.
    • Default: false
  • Button Text: (input) The text in the form submit button
    • Enable: When Show Save Button? is set to true
    • Default: Save

Total Admin - RSS Feed

  • Title: (input) The title of the RSS feed
    • Default: My News Feed
  • Description: (input) The description of the RSS feed
    • Default: My news feed with important updates
  • Item Link: (input) The url that will be associated with each feed item. This should be the URL where your feed will be located. It must be the fully qualified url.
    • Default: http://example.com/news

Total Admin - Feed Image

  • Optimize Original Image?: (checkbox) Optimize the original image that is uploaded. This will ensure that the image is properly sized. Without this set, user could upload very large images that could slow down their websites. When you turn this setting off, the original image that was uploaded will be used.
    • Default: true
  • Resize Logic: (select) The logic used to scale the image and thumbnail. Portrait will scale based on height and landscape on width. Auto will determine the image type and scale accodingly
    • Default: Auto
    • Possible Values:
      • Auto
      • Portrait
      • Landscape

  • Image Quality: (number) The image compression quality. The higher the percentage, the higher quality image. However, the higher quality images will have larger files sizes. Its not recommended to use 100.
    • Default: 85%
    • Min Value: 0%
    • Max Value: 100%
  • Image Max: (number) The maximum size of the image. If portrait mode, this will be the height. In landscape mode, it will be the width.
    • Enable: When Optimize Original Image? is set to true
    • Default: 2000px
    • Min Value: 1px
    • Max Value: 10000px
  • Thumb Max: (number) The maximum size of the thumbnail. If portrait mode, this will be the height. In landscape mode, it will be the width.
    • Default: 500px
    • Min Value: 1px
    • Max Value: 1000px
  • Square Max: (number) The maximum size of the square thumbnail.
    • Default: 500px
    • Min Value: 1px
    • Max Value: 1000px

  • Portrait Crop: (select) Where to crop the square thumbnail for portrait images
    • Default: Middle
    • Possible Values:
      • Top
      • Middle
      • Bottom
  • Landscape Crop: (select) Where to crop the square thumbnail for lanscape images
    • Default: Center
    • Possible Values:
      • Left
      • Center
      • Right

  • Upload Rules: (button-4) The rules to enable for processing of the image
    • Default: [false, false, false, false]
  • Orientation: (select) The orientation of the image
    • Enable: When Upload Rules is set to true
    • Default: Landscape
    • Possible Values:
      • Landscape
      • Portrait
      • Square
  • Max Size: (number) The maximum size of the image allowed to be uploaded
    • Enable: When Upload Rules is set to true
    • Default: 500KB
    • Min Value: 1KB
    • Max Value: 10000KB
  • Height: (number-2) The min/max height of the image allowed to be uploaded
    • Enable: When Upload Rules is set to true
    • Default: [0, 2000]px
    • Min Value: 0px
    • Max Value: 10000px
  • Width: (number-2) The min/max width of the image allowed to be uploaded
    • Enable: When Upload Rules is set to true
    • Default: [0, 2000]px
    • Min Value: 0px

  • Editor: (select) The type of editor to use
    • Default: Hipwig Editor
    • Possible Values:
      • Hipwig Editor
      • Text/Markdown Editor
  • Strip HTML on Save?: (checkbox) Strip any HTML from the text before its saved to the file.
    • Enable: When Editor is set to simple
    • Default: false
  • Form Height: (number) The number of rows to show by default. This controls the height of the box
    • Enable: When Editor is set to simple
    • Default: 3lines
    • Min Value: 1lines
    • Max Value: 100lines
  • Height: (number) The height of the Hipwig editor
    • Enable: When Editor is set to hipwig
    • Default: 200px
    • Min Value: 100px

  • Define Default Template?: (checkbox) Define a template that will be add to the new feed post text box for new posts
    • Default: false
  • Template Text: (multi-8) This is the default content that will be added to new post text boxes
